This policy explains what information jimcrosson.com collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. This is the personal website of James Crosson. It is separate from Advocate Support Services, Inc., which maintains its own website and privacy practices.

Information you provide

• Newsletter and book waitlist. When you subscribe to Systems Over Heroics or join the Designed to Deliver waitlist, I collect your first name and email address.
• Contact and speaking requests. When you send a message, I collect your name, email address, the topic you select, and what you write.

Please do not send health information or confidential information about clients, patients, or your organization through this site.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this site and its hosting provider automatically record basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. This is used to keep the site secure and running properly. If analytics are enabled, they are used only to understand which content is useful, in aggregate.

Embedded content, such as YouTube videos, may set cookies and collect information according to the provider’s own privacy policy.

How information is used

• To send the newsletter and updates you asked for.
• To notify you when the book is available.
• To respond to your messages, speaking requests, and inquiries.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the site.

Your information is never sold or rented.

Service providers

A small number of trusted providers help operate this site and newsletter, and they process information only on my behalf:

• Kit (ConvertKit) for email newsletter and waitlist delivery.
• Elementor for website hosting.
• Google / YouTube for embedded video and, if enabled, site analytics.

Email choices

Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time, and you can ask to have your information deleted by emailing the address below.

Retention and security

Information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, or until you ask for it to be removed. Reasonable measures are used to protect it, though no website can guarantee complete security.

Children

This site is intended for adults and professionals. It does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Links to other sites

This site links to other websites, including LinkedIn, YouTube, and Advocate Support Services. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The effective date above will reflect the latest version.
